December 2011 - We are pleased to announce that our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Erik Soiferman, has officially become a certified medical director through the American Medical Directors' Association. Congratulations Dr. Soiferman!
November 2011 - Congratulations to Justin Gunkle, who was this year's coordinator on behalf of the Over 17 Club for the WMMR Camp Out for Hunger with Preston & Steve. October 2011 - Fox Subacute sponsored the Case Management Society of America-Philadelphia dinner on October 13, 2011, at the Doubletree Hotel in Plymouth Meeting. Dr. Soiferman was our main presenter. The topic was "A Holistic Approach to Ventilator Weaning" and the course offered 1 CE to RN's and 1 CCM to case managers. The objectives were to establish a cost-effective approach to post acute care (hospital) ventilator weaning and to ensure a quality of life for ventilator patients
The dinner was a huge success! We would like to thank all of the staff and residents who participated and helped us make it a success. We would also like to thank all of the wonderful case managers who attended for their time and interest. We appreciate your support and hope you were able to learn something new to walk away with. August 2011 - We are proud to announce that our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Erik Soiferman, has a new physician, Dr. Cindy Henry, that will be working with him. Dr. Henry graduated from PCOM in 2008 and completed her residency through the PCOM system. Part of her role will be to see patients in all three of our buildings at times when she's needed. We look forward to seeing her around, welcome!
April 2011 - Billy Searle, one of the members from Fox Subacute at Warrington's Over 17 Club has created a social networking web site for people with disabilities to be able to meet and socialize with one another called "Handicap Meet". The web site capabilities include: the ability to upload music, videos and photos and the ability to share them with one another, forums to comment in, the ability to chat via text or audio/video instant message people. The web site is user friendly and easy to set up. It also links into facebook, which allows facebook account users to easily connect to this web site from there. January 2011 - Fox Subacute has officially gone smoke free at all three of our facilities! Thank you to all of our employees for truly making this new policy a success!
March 2010 - The Over 17 Club at Fox Subacute at Warrington won the grand prize for a video contest that the Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA) had to showcase long-term care facilities as a place to live and enjoy a quality of life.
