Respiratory Therapy
The Fox Subacute Respiratory Therapy Department provides 24 hours per day, seven days a week in-house staff coverage. All respiratory therapists are licensed, certified technicians, and registered therapists with years of experience working with the complex mechanically ventilated patient.
Pulmonary Rehab: Ventilator Weaning
The goal of our pulmonary rehab team is to determine the resident’s capacity for ventilator weaning and developing an individualized plan of care to reach appropriate goals. The Fox Subacute respiratory therapy team works with the medical and nursing staff to ensure effective and holistic weaning for our residents. By utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach, we often experience far greater results. However, the most important team members are our patients and their families. Communicating our goals and treatment plan along with patient’s needs and concerns provides an excellent opportunity for pulmonary rehab and ventilator weaning.
